Is the face paint safe for sensitive skin?
All of our makeup is hypo-allergenic and it has an allergic reaction rate similar to quality cosmetics, because it is made of the same quality FDA-Compliant ingredients. Please note that we DO NOT use acrylic paints on the skin as it is neither safe for the skin nor FDA Compliant. If there are any concerns, please request that the makeup artist conduct a skin patch test before they begin face painting.
How do I know how many entertainers to have at my event or how long the entertainer(s) should stay?
When you speak with one of our professional event planners, you can expect a LOT of questions! We collect as much information about your event as possible in order to make sure that we reserve the right number of entertainers and just the right amount of time. Our job is to make sure that your entertainment works without a hitch and that ALL your participating guests are accommodated and we will offer options that will best work with your budget.
How much does it cost?
The rate for entertainment is based upon the package selected, the amount of time booked, how many entertainers you are reserving, number of guests expected to attend the event, in what city the event is hosted and when the event is scheduled (we offer weekday and off-season discounts). When you call us one of our professional event planners will work with you to help determine what entertainment will best suit your needs, fit your budget and thrill your guests! The cost for the entertainment package includes all supplies, smiles, and wonderful memories.
When should I make a reservation?
In an effort to avoid disappointments, reservations should be made as soon as you decide that you want professional entertainment for your next event. Please note that some of our clients make reservations as early as 12 months in advance! Albeit that may not always be feasible, we highly recommend that during our peak season (May thru August) reservations should be made at least 4-6 weeks in advance.
Do you donate your services for charity events?
Changing Faces 4 Fun (Changing Faces) is a strong supporter of the charitable organizations and causes in and around the South Central PA and Baltimore Metro areas. For-profit entertainment businesses, such as Changing Faces, are asked to volunteer services on a daily basis and it becomes very difficult to decide which requests to accept and which requests we must decline, as we do not have the resources to provide sponsorships to all who request them. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that, as part of our Ambassadors of Humanity program, we now accept formal applications online for 501(c)(3) organizations. Sponsorship Applications are due by December 31 (no exceptions) for all charitable/ fundraising events scheduled for the upcoming year (click on the fundraiser tab under the services section for an online application). Please understand that, due to the nature of our business and the volume of requests we receive, we are unable to sponsor entertainment to every requestor. We will notify each applicant with a formal decision no later than January 31.
What type of events do you do?
We provide professional, extreme, unique and remarkable entertainment for ALL OCCASIONS! There are no events too small or too large.
What form of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, PayPal and credit cards (processed through PayPal). Please note, however, that for private parties, although we do accept a check or credit card for the required deposit, the final balance is due in CASH ONLY on the day of the event. All electronic payments will be assessed a nominal service/transaction fee.
Do you arrive in costume?
We arrive in professional entertainment attire which is typically very festive and colorful. However, upon request we also do offer professional Clowns, Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus for a nominal fee. Furthermore, if you do have specific costume requests so that the entertainers fit into your theme, we would be happy to discuss that with you in further detail. We are extremely flexible and our goal is to make your event memorable so that your guests will have memories to last a lifetime!
Is adult supervision required or can I leave the kids in your care?
LOL! You are cracking me up …. Good try but NO … entertainers WILL NOT supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parent’s responsibility. Balloons are not recommended for children under 3. Balloons can be a choking hazard! Therefore, children of all ages should be supervised very carefully.
What do you need provided at the event?
WE BRING EVERYTHING! However, a WELL LIT area is REQUIRED for all events. If you are having a party at home please let us know if there will be a table and #2 chairs (a kitchen, dining room or card size table is sufficient) that we may use as we do not want to bring extras to take up your much needed space.
I talked to another company and they are cheaper than you. Will you match their price?
Of course not! We do not have a price match guarantee policy. Why? Because with entertainment, as with anything else, you get what you pay for. Yes, there is CHEAPER … And that is exactly what you will get… CHEAPER ENTERTAINMENT! Quality counts and trust us, entertainers are not created equal. You do not want to compromise on budget when it comes to your entertainment. If you need to cut corners, then cut back the budget for your plates, cups and napkins! But seriously, in these times we understand that many are watching their bottom line. However, if you compromise your entertainment you’ll have saved money but are the entertainers reliable, do they provide quality entertainment, are they talented and are they trained/experienced? The bottom line is: Are you really willing to take the risk that the cheapest company in town will leave your guests with remarkable memories that will last well beyond the festivities? Remember you get what you pay for and we will make sure your event is MEMORABLE! You all sound alike and you offer similar entertainment. What is the difference?
Yes, you are right! We DO all sound alike and offer similar entertainment. However, we are not all alike. The difference is in the TYPE of entertainer, and there are three. The first is the “moonlighter”, someone who wants to make some extra cash on the side (usually on the weekends) and quickly learns some basic techniques to keep kids occupied at parties. The second type is made up of agencies that hire people, teach them a basic skill, and book them at parties to perform that skill. These agencies have a tremendous amount of turnover. The last type is a network of professionally trained, experienced, highly talented entertainers who are nationally renowned as well as being local favorites. This network of entertainers LOVE what they do, frequently attend conventions to continue their training and development year after year to stay on top of the latest trends. We fall into the third category. Consider the quality of the entertainment when you think of the three different categories and you can suddenly see a BIG difference!
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
For your peace of mind, yes, we are fully covered by entertainer’s liability insurance, wherever the event, 365 days of the year. This means that the activities are fully covered and there is no liability whatsoever to you when using our services. For those corporate clients that require proof of insurance we will provide a copy of our Public Liability Certificate.
